Mesilla, White Sands Proving Ground

| Las Cruces sits on the West side and at the base of the Organ Mountains which really look similar to a gigantic pipe organ (they are part of the San Andres range). They also look very mysterious at stormy times. On the other side of the mountains is the Whites Sands Missile Range and Las Cruces is the closest city to that secret facility. Nestled in the Mesilla Valley bordered by the Organ Mountains and the Rio Grande river, Las Cruces is only about half an hour North of El Paso, Texas.
Just South of Las Cruces is the old Town of Mesilla which offers a great deal of old world charm.
